After performing as front act for no less than American singer-songwriter Jason Mraz at the latter’s recent Philippine concert, Zendee Rose Tenerefe is set to belt it out on an international stage.
Far from being just the “Random Girl” on a viral YouTube clip, Zendee is now the Philippine representative to a music festival of YouTube sensations worldwide happening in Singapore.
“Under the Stars: The YouTube Sensations From Online to a Live Stage” features Tanner Patrick (USA), Madilyn Bailey (USA), Nate Tao (USA), The 38 Years Ago (Thailand) and The Sam Willows (Singapore), with the Philippines’ Zendee as the finale act.
Presented by Star Hub, the one-night-only concert will be held on June 28 at The Coliseum, Resorts World Sentosa, Singapore (with live streaming via http://www.youtube.com/user/StarHub/home).
In a report by “Balitanghali,” Tuesday, Zendee said that she feels honored to have been chosen as the country’s representative to the event.
The young singer from GenSan and the rest of her band arrived in Singapore on Monday to meet up with other co-performers. Zendee even shared a photo of hers with Tanner Patrick and Madilyn Bailey on Twitter.
“Here at Equarius Hotel, Resorts World Singapore! with @TannerPatrick and @MadilynBailey,” she posted on June 24, her first day in the Lion City.
The same “Balitanghali” report added of Zendee’s plans while in Singapore: to go sight-seeing, shop, and try out Singaporean cuisines.
